I created News Ab Alto as a weekly news round up for the Dyess AFB community. We produced 45 episodes in total before I left for my next assignment. Episodes of News Ab Alto were posted to the Dyess AFB Facebook page on Fridays, and were also shown as trailers before movies played at the Dyess AFB theater.
News Ab Alto was my creation in terms of general format, graphics, and even the melody which ushered in each episode. However, what made it work well was a combination efforts from the talented and amazing broadcasters I was afforded the privilege of serving alongside.
News Ab Alto was a low budget, weekly production that was better because of the people who worked on it. Sure, corners were cut—great ideas were cut—but something special still emerged.
